Emirates the largest A-380 carrier

Dubai-based carrier Emirates says it will order 32 more Airbus A380 superjumbojets. That would give the carrier -- already the world's largest A380 customer -- a whopping 90 A380s in its fleet by the end of 2017.

Business Traveller magazine says Emirates now accounts for "just under" 40% of the worldwide orders Airbus has received for the A380, the world's commercial passenger jet.

Alaska Airlines & JetBlue lead in customer satisfaction

Air travelers seem to be constantly complaining about fees, the lack of service and cramped seats on flights, but surprisingly their level of satisfaction with airlines is on the rise, a new survey finds.

Overall contentment with U.S. and Canadian carriers has reached a three-year high, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2010 North America Airline Satisfaction Study released Tuesday.

Spirit to charge up to $45 per carry on bag

Not only are they to blame for beginning the checked bag fees a couple years back, now Spirit Airlines is going to charge for carry on bags too. The charge will apply to bags you bring on board and place in the overhead bin. Personal items that fit under the seat will still be free. Spirit said it will add measuring devices at the gates to determine which carry-ons are free and which ones will incur the charge.

I don't even want to imagine what this zoo will look like at departure gates. I've only flown spirit twice, and I highly recommend everyone to stay away from it. I had two terrible experiences; awful service, the worst approach I have ever experienced, rude flight attendants, the list goes on and on.

3. Flyertalk.com - This could quite possibly be the BEST frequent flyer website. Hands down. Amazing feedback from other frequent flyers, hotel deals, forums covering everything from award tickets, mileage programs, routes, meals, everything. I am positively impressed everyday how much great advice goes back and forth. I highly recommend all of you to spend some time on this site and find out for yourselves.
